The Tantric Path in Practice
What is Tantric Yoga? How does a Tantric practice differ from a 'standard' yoga practice? What is this path of alchemy and spiritual transformation? How can I incorporate Tantric methodology into my existing practice to reap the rewards of this systematic approach?
These are great questions, which I have received from practitioners around the world who have heard of this Tantric Yoga thing, but are able to uncover only minimal information about its practice, some of that heavily dogmatic, and the rest either cryptic or a bit absurd.
I have created this offering as a means for answering some of these questions through a light presentation of theory and a generous dose of direct experience - by way of the best of teacher of all - practice itself.
What Does This Course Entail?
20 unique practices
Designed to empower you to explore and experience the various stages of the Tantric Path. Each week we will navigate the full progression from preparation through Moon, Sun & ultimately Fire.
I am choosing to utilize the full progression to help you understand the role each stage plays in creating a nourishing, balanced diet of yoga practice.
Mondays are for Strengthening
Tuesdays for Purification
Wednesdays for the Moon
Thursdays for the Sun
Fridays for Fire
Each practice will consist of a brief chat purpose of the practice and a light explanation of some of the methodology involved, plus asana and savasana. You are strongly encouraged to stick around for pranayama and meditation with our WE RISE community, which will immediately follow. (for an additional $50)
While it is hugely beneficial to be present live as much as possible, rest assured that every practice will be recorded and uploaded here to Heights with a brief description of the sequence and methodology used.
Preparation Practices focus first on strengthening, then on purifying the body and mind - clearing both physical and psychological toxins while increasing fortitude and capacity for growth.
Moon Practices, which are oriented toward the mind, focus first on calming and quieting the mind, then on gradually increasing our ability to remain calm and steady in increasingly provocative situations.
Sun Practices, which are oriented toward vitality (Prana), focus first on nourishment and growth, then on developing the direct experience of life and self as sacred.
Fire Practices, which are oriented toward spiritual transformation, focus first on accessing innate luminosity, then on becoming increasingly absorbed in that divine light.
