Enliven Prana

A three-week engagement with prana

through a near-daily practice of

asana, savasana, pranayama and meditation.


What does Enliven Prana Entail?


Over the course of three weeks - with five practices each week - we will move through five relationships with prana, known as the Pranavayus. 

Vayu can be translated from Sanskrit as 'wind.' Each of these vayus, or winds, are a 'direction' by which prana flows in and around us, governing specific powers or capacities.

We refine our relationship with these winds by removing obstacles in our physical and subtle bodies and developing an intentional engagement with them. We oscillate between self-effort - encouraging prana to flow in accordance with a specific vayu - and trustful surrender - learning to rely on prana's innate wisdom - to shift the direction of the wind on our behalf as need be.

Prana Vayu governs our power of reception enabling us to take in experiences, nourishment, wisdom, and all forms of information.

Samana Vayu governs our power of digestion enabling us to break down, process, and assimilate all we take in.

Apana Vayu governs our power of elimination enabling us to release whatever we have taken in which does not directly benefit us.

Udana Vayu governs our power of ascension and growth enabling us to use what we have absorbed to evolve - physically, mentally, and spiritually - and to express our evolution in the world.

Vyana Vayu governs our power of integration enabling us to live life as the fullest expression of ourself and circulate freely and joyfully in the world.


Course Structure


We will gather every day Monday through Friday for four weeks for a 'complete practice' consisting of

asana, savasana, pranayama and meditation.

Each practice will last 90-minutes and be oriented toward maximizing our relationship with one of the vayus.

In addition to the daily 'complete practice,' you will receive prompts for further reflection about your current relationship with each of these powers, and how they may be more deeply appreciated or improved.

Every practice will be recorded and uploaded daily. If you are unable to attend live, you can navigate the course at your leisure and still feel comfortable reaching out to me for guidance or input.
